I started This Is Not A Bill to spread a little joy, practice gratitude, and connect with others.

Since its launch in April 2020, I’ve been so grateful to have heard so many great stories that share milestones and appreciation for loved ones. It’s been a big, beautiful journey so far and I’m excited to see how the project evolves. Each letter I receive lifts my spirits and I never get tired of seeing each handmade postcard find its recipient.

As we charge ahead into the year, I’d like to share some of my goals for TINAB!

  • Cycles/Regular mail breaks. To manage the flow of requests, I’ll be taking a few more breaks this year. I’ll be referring to each open period as a ‘cycle’. These pauses will ensure that I can stay on top of your requests. Submissions will be closed for the following months:

    • April

    • August

    • December

  • Cap number of requests per person. This time, I’ll be placing a cap on how many requests can be made in a cycle. I want to make sure those who are making a request for the first time receive mail; so, I ask that you submit no more than two per cycle.

  • Collaborations with guest pen pals. I’d love to open up this project to artists to join the project for a cycle! If you’re interested, shoot me an email and I’ll send more info.

  • Share more in-depth stories right here! I’d love to write about some of you and my own wins in a blog format here on the website. It would be great to highlight some favorites, with your permission and help.

  • Themes! For each cycle, I’d like to explore different themes and see where that takes us.

I may not get to all of these this year but stay tuned to see how things shape up throughout the year. In the meantime, I’m happy to announce that submissions are open once again! I can’t wait to read all of your submissions this year.
